Yalıkavak Marina proudly announces its joy in receiving the “5 Gold Anchors Platinum” Status awarded by the British Yacht Harbor Association (TYHA), one of the most prestigious institutions in the world’s yachting industry. With this accreditation, Yalikavak Marina becomes the first and only marina in Türkiye and Mediterranean holding the “5 Gold Anchors Platinum”, “2020/2021 World’s Best International Marina” and “2018/2019 World’s Best Super Yacht Marina” awards. Yalıkavak Marina has become one of the top 10 marinas in the world holding the well-deserved “5 Golden Anchor Platinum” status for providing exceptional services and operating the best facilities in the global marine industry.

With receiving of the “5 Gold Anchor Platinum” Status, Yalikavak Marina has joined an elite group of very few marinas in the world holding this award. There are 374 marinas in the world with various levels of the Golden Anchor ratings, but there was only nine very special platinum award-winning marinas, and only three out of them were located in Europe, in the Mediterranean region. It is an incredible honor for us to become the first “5 Golden Anchor Platinum” marina in Türkiye by bringing the number of the world’s platinum anchor marinas to 10 by becoming the fourth marina in the Mediterranean region holding this award”, said Deniz Akaltan.
He added the The British Yacht Harbor Association (TYHA) evaluates all marinas in the world with the international marina rating system, that in order to obtain a platinum level rating, the marinas should pass a very deep and extensive independent audit including that evaluates design, operations, service, procedures, communication, goal integration, and customer service standards. Marinas with exceptional facilities that undergo this rigorous inspection are deemed worthy of platinum rating. Platinum accreditation is a distinguished status designed to describe a small number of marinas in the world that appeal to a very exclusive guest profile. Platinum status is achieved when a marina scores 95% after a rigorous evaluation process involving direct feedback. A marina with a platinum status should also aim to maintain a high level of performance and continuous improvements.
