London, United Kingdom – 12 January, 2018 – Located on Turkey’s Bodrum peninsula, Palmarina was last night recognised by The Yacht Harbour Association’s NMU Gold Anchor Awards 2018, as one of the world’s best superyacht marinas.
The NMU Gold Anchor Awards is the industry standard for measuring the quality of marinas across the globe. As well as conducting a thorough audit, the award uses mystery shoppers to test the facilities and also incorporates feedback from berth holders.
Speaking at the London Boat Show 2018, where the awards were presented, General Manager of Palmarina Akbulut Kahraman said: “This recognition is a great honour for us as we pride ourselves on the quality and service that each one of our guests receive, and the Gold Anchor is a direct reflection on that. “I hope that in 2018, and for many years to come, Palmarina will continue to be the top choice for superyachts in Turkey and a key Mediterranean destination.”
As the only superyacht marina with five Gold Anchors in Turkey, Palmarina is a market leader for superyachts in Europe, with 69 berths capable of handling superyachts up to 135 metres length overall (LOA).
Palmarina stands out because of its unique approach, which is redefining the yachting experience by incorporating a luxury resort as part of the marina. With over 100 world class brands, many exclusive to Palmarina, world class Turkish and international cuisine, and beautiful, boutique hotels, together with an EU Blue Flag beach, Palmarina offers an unrivalled experience for domestic and global guests.
Opened in 2010, Palmarina hosts a total of 620 berths and enjoys a prime Mediterranean location, next to the traditional village of Yalikavak. There is exceptional local cruising along the pristine Bodrum peninsula, and the resort is within only 15 nm of several Greek islands. Palmarina combines stern-to and alongside berths with comprehensive marine support facilities, including extensive dry dock area with professional docking services.
